Thorner's Court

We have been located on this site in the City Centre since 1866, with lots of changes to the buildings since that time. The accommodation now provided at Thorner’s Court are self-contained, one bedroom flats which are for single occupancy.

Each flat comprises of an entrance hall, lounge with an open plan kitchen, bedroom and a shower room. They have been comprehensively re-modelled during 2022/23.

Heating is by modern off-peak electric intelligent high heat retention storage heaters and hot water is supplied by way of off or on-peak electricity.

There is a certain amount of built-in cupboard space and each kitchen has an eye level electric oven and hob.

The building has a secure door entry system and is served by two lifts. There is a residents’ lounge, laundry and a mobility scooter/bicycle store. The building is located within landscaped gardens, with a limited amount of parking spaces, which operate on a first come, first served basis.

The site is located close to the Bedford Place and London Road retail areas. It is approximately a 13 minute walk to the Mayflower Theatre and Southampton Central Train Station, with services to London, Bournemouth and Brighton and Southampton Airport Parkway. The Central Library at the Civic Centre is a 10 minute walk across Watts Park and West Quay shopping is about a 16 minute walk away.
